Abstract

As quantum computing continues to evolve, it poses significant threats to classical encryption protocols underpinning 5G and IoT communication. This paper explores quantum cryptographic protocols, particularly Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), for secure data exchange in next-generation networks. We assess their effectiveness in real-world IoT scenarios and 5G frameworks, compare with classical security methods, and propose integration models. Through analysis and graphical modeling, we highlight how QKD can ensure forward secrecy and protect against post-quantum adversaries in hyperconnected environments.
