Abstract

The need for secure, scalable, and interoperable data exchange architectures in healthcare has never been more critical. As multi-institutional data sharing becomes central to clinical and research collaboration, blockchain technology has emerged as a robust solution. This paper examines architectural innovations in blockchain-based healthcare information systems that aim to secure data exchange among multiple healthcare entities. By analyzing both existing models and novel frameworks, this study identifies key design elements, performance trade-offs, and privacy-preserving techniques. The paper integrates empirical data, diagrams, and comparative tables to illustrate system capabilities. We conclude by suggesting future directions for scalable and trustless healthcare data ecosystems.
